Clinic history

From modest beginnings, a staff of two grew into eight. Six years on, we had outgrown our premises and moved to our current location at L’Estrange Tce, Kelvin Grove. Since then, RHP Physiotherapy has grown to include a staff of 18 people who exceed the range of skills and experience we dared dream of all those years ago.

In February 2010, we spread our wings further and established a second clinic at 3/667 Oxley Rd, Corinda. After 9 successful years of servicing the Corinda community, we have subsequently sold the clinic in February 2019. Instead, we decided to extend our services to Brisbane South and opened a new multi-disciplinary clinic at the brand-new Qld State Netball Centre in Nathan – a venture that we are very excited to be a part of!

It was our mission to take the clinic beyond the realms of other practices, developing talented therapists who are able to practise in a stimulating, warm environment conducive to healing. Another enduring theme of our clinic has been the pursuit of excellence.

The clinic has accumulated a long list of achievements including working with some of Australia’s top athletes and elite teams.

Amongst them we can list:

  • The Brisbane Broncos
  • The Brisbane Bullets
  • GPS Rugby Union Club
  • The Australian Swim Team (Olympics / World Championships / Commonwealth Games)
  • The Australian Paralympic Swim Team
  • The Queensland Firebirds
  • The Hockeyroos
  • Touring golf professionals playing on USA, Japan, and Australasian tours
  • Queensland Women’s Hockey
  • Brisbane Women’s Hockey
  • Australian Table Tennis Team
  • The Queensland Conservatorium of Music
  • The Queensland Symphony Orchestra

A testament to our quality lies with the large number of health professionals (including our own profession) that have sought treatment over the years. For our own part, we are most proud of the abilities we have developed to treat hard-to-fix, multi-layered, chronic injuries. We have also achieved acclaim amongst health professionals on a national level which is indicative of the number of interstate patients that are referred to us or seek our help.

We have cared for over 10,000 patients, most of whom have remained very loyal to the clinic in this competitive environment. In 2013, the directors of the clinic decided to redefine our purpose and values. Drawing upon our own values, we decided that we wanted to lead with:

AUTHENTICITY • EXCELLENCE • INNOVATION • SUCCESS • VIBRANCY

It is our expectation that we incorporate these values into our service and that all of the RHP Physiotherpay family exemplify the same qualities.

Historically, education has played a big part in our clinic. We have a proud history of helping develop the skills of many students that have walked through our doors. We have lectured to Japanese universities; been Clinical Educators in the University of Queensland physiotherapy department; helped developed the sports medicine curriculum and deliver lectures to the podiatry school at QUT, as well as convene and lecture for the National Sports Physiotherapy courses.

Despite our achievements and success to date we continue to look to the future to remain at the forefront of physiotherapy services offered in Australia.

We sincerely hope you find what you are looking for at our clinics.
