Andrew at RHPAndrew graduated with a physiotherapy degree from the University of Queensland in 1991. He has worked primarily in private practice and has highly advanced skills in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal disorders. Andrew joined the Red Hill Physiotherapy team in 1999, and became a Director during 2001. Andrew's expertise is far ranging, from spinal pains to shoulder and knee joints, sporting injuries, and chronic conditions with multiple painful sites. His advanced movement analysis skills will allow him to identify the underlying cause of a persons pain, and thus treat the cause and not just the symptom. This ensures long term results can be achieved.

Andrew has worked with a variety of sporting teams and currently has a large involvement with golf. Andrew is the physiotherapist for several professional golfers and golf schools in Brisbane. His aims when treating golfers extend far beyond injury management alone - he analyses the biomechanics of your golf swing from a musculoskeletal standpoint, with the aim being to identify any physical areas where some "fine-tuning" may help to improve the consistency and power of your swing. He believes that developing great golfing habits at as early an age as possible will aid both the enjoyment and performance of the game in later life, and thus has an interest in working with young golfers to help them achieve just this. He is an avid golfer himself and is one of Queenslands premier physiotherapists for golfers.

Other special areas of interest for Andrew include adolescent skeletal and co-ordination development, and management of chronic pain conditions. Some would say he is also obsessed with football.

For the past 10 years Andrew has lectured at the Queensland University of Technology Podiatry School. This has involved helping establish and continuing to lecture within a Sports Medicine subject to 3rd and 4th year students.

David graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992. His early career focus was on contact sports like Rugby Union and AFL before spending many years as Physiotherapist to the Brisbane Bullets. More recently time has been spent as a physiotherapist to Brisbane Women’s Hockey and in treating cyclists and triathletes. David offers comprehensive assistance with cycling injuries, bike fitouts, and video analysis of position and biomechanics.

As a Director of Red Hill Physiotherapy one of David’s main roles is Staff Education and Training. This developed from a fascination with anatomy and out of a dedication to the practice of complementary and innovative manual techniques. This includes the use of adult and paediatric cranio-sacral therapy, visceral manipulation, brain tissue work and somato (body)-emotional therapy skills in order to address the physical and emotional conditions of patients and to aid those with difficult and multi-layered medical case histories.

Forces on the body are commonly inadequate to produce changes within the body that can be diagnosed or explained with conventional medical or imaging techniques. Often these sneaky restrictions can only be diagnosed with appropriate and skilled manual diagnosis and treatment.

For a more detailed list of the various conditions treated within these areas, please see the Specialised Services section and reference Chronic pain, Paediatrics and Visceral dysfunction in the drop down menu.

David believes in helping people to achieve optimum health. Perhaps the greatest tools for healing lay within the persons’ own body and mind and sometimes all the body needs is a little encouragement to work.

Outside of the clinic he has travelled extensively - living, working, playing sport and studying overseas. One of the highlights was obtaining a Diploma in Spanish from the University of Alicante in Spain in 1999 and 2000.

Peter at RHPAfter graduating from The University of Queensland in 1991, Peter has practiced in a variety of work settings including the U.K. He returned to Australia and joined the Red Hill Physiotherapy (RHP) team in 1998 and in 2001 took on the role as one of the directors of the clinic.

Peter is an APA accredited Sports Physiotherapist and is currently the Therapy Services Coordinator for both the Queensland Academy of Sport and Australian Swimming Teams. In July, Peter travelled to Shanghai, China with the Australian team for the World Championships.  This was his fourth World Championships having previously travelled to Montreal (2005), Melbourne (2007) and Rome (2009).  Peter was also a physiotherapist for the team at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.  He was also head physiotherapist for the swim team at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and is looking forward to going to the London Olympics in 2012.

Peter also works closely with many club squads and school-based swimming programs, and with the Marist College Ashgrove First XV Rugby Team. Like all of the Red Hill Team, one of Peter's aims is to help up and coming athletes to develop their bodies for the future, so they can compete in their sports (and in life in general!) at a higher level and without injury.

While swimming remains a focus area for Peter, his interest in a variety of sports has seen him work with state, national and international level competitive teams in rugby league, squash, golf, basketball, soccer, canoeing and athletics. Peter has a special interest in movement dysfunction and motor control issues for people of all ages and activity levels (whether sporting or not!).

Peter's extensive experience with athletes of all levelsand his ability to communicate clearly at any level has made hima sought-after
speaker and presenter. His resume includes many high level sports physiotherapy courses and national coaches conferences as well as
youth development camps, school and junoir squad camps.

Peter's expert skills are available to both sporting and non-sporting people - but only if they want to get better or improve their activities
as much as he wants them to!
