Sam completed a Master of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland in 2013, following a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) in 2009 also at U.Q. He is now working as a physiotherapist, after having worked as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for 6 years. During 2016, Sam will be completing a Master of Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, which he will complete in 2018.

Sam's passion lies in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. His physiotherapy experience prior to RHP Physiotherapy includes Melbourne private practice, as well as a number of roles with sporting teams. He has travelled to Seoul (South Korea) with the Monash University Men's Basketball team and held roles of a team physiotherapist for the FFA Nationals tournament for the U13-14 boys and open Paralympic Victorian teams. This year Sam has also travelled to Denmark with the Pararoos, Australian Paralympic soccer team, for the World Championships qualifier and will be travelling with the team next year in the role of team physiotherapist at the World Championships.

He has also provided physiotherapy for athletes in Aussie rules football, short and long distance running and swimming, performing at amateur to national levels. Sam is currently the Team Physiotherapist for The winning Gap Football Club Women's NPL team as well as the U21 Netball QLD team.

Further to sporting experiences, Sam is experienced in the treatment of various patients including, spinal injuries of the lumbar, thoracic and cervical spines, pre and post-operative orthopaedic surgery and various joint strains, sprains and other pains. He believes that exercise can play a fundamental role in the treatment and rehabilitation of almost any medical or physical condition, as well as improve function for longevity.

Sam is a keen footballer (soccer) himself, having played many forms of the game socially and competitively at semi-professional level. This kick started his early interest in the human body and elite athlete management from injury prevention to diagnosis and treatment to return to play.
