Peter Wells

Peter graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and has practiced in a variety of different work settings both in Australia and overseas. He joined the RHP team in 1998 and has been an Owner/Director since 2001.

Peter is an Australian Physiotherapy Association titled Sports Physiotherapist and has a very keen interest in sport.

In 2016, Peter has been appointed as the Head if Physical Therapies for the Australian Olympic Team Headquarters Clinic for the Rio Olympics. This will be his 3rd Olympic Games having travelled to the London 2012 and Beijing 2008 Olympics as Head Physiotherapist for the Australian Swimming Team!

Peter has had a long association with swimming, having been the head Physiotherapist for Swimming Australia and the QAS since 2005. He has attended many National and International competitions with these teams including World Championships in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011, Commonwealth Games 2006 and Pan Pacific Championships in 2002 and 2014.

While swimming remains a focus area for Peter, he assisted with the team physiotherapist role at the ANZ Championship-winning Queensland Firebirds netball team during 2015 and 2016 seasons. He also continues to work with the Marist College Ashgrove First XV rugby teams, Western Magpies QAFL, Brisbane Knights Football Club and Red Dog Triathlon Training teams.

With a special interest in movement dysfunction and motor control issues for people of all ages and activity levels (whether sporting or not!), Peter aims to help and develop active bodies for both now and the future!

Peter's extensive experience with athletes of all levels and his ability to communicate clearly at any level has enabled him to be a presenter and invited speaker at many National level sports physiotherapy courses, including UQ Physiotherapy Sports Masters Course, and coaches' conferences as well as youth development camps, schools and junior squad sessions.

Peter's expert skills are available to anybody who wants to improve both sporting and non-sporting!!
